What about an insurance for damaged tools?

An insurance is actually included in the membership fee. If a tool or an accessory item is damaged during regular use, Tournevie will analyse, order replacement parts and carry out the repair for free.

This does not apply if the tool was abused, neglected or used in an inappropriate way. This can usually be deduced when carrying out the repair. In that case, we ask you to reimburse the replacement parts.

Each tool, including all the accessories, will be checked jointly by the member and Tournevie volunteer before and after each borrowing. This provides trust and avoids disagreements.

When damages are caused by non-members, the member that effectively borrowed the tool is responsible for this damage, and vouches for the cost of repair or replacement.

What to do in case of damage?

If the tool malfunctions or poses any danger to the user and / or other people in the area, you are expected to stop using it immediately.

Please let us know what happened or at the very least when you bring back the tools. It helps if you describe the situation and provide a picture of the tool (and the context you were using it in).
